I originally had a studio in San Francisco. My focus was Industrial and Commercial photography. Accounts included, Japan Airlines, International Air Transport Service, Windy’s, Macy’s, British Motors, along with a list of smaller accounts. In 1971 while covering an anti-war demonstration in San Franciso I came to the realization that I could not always believe what I was being told by my government. As a result of this awakening, I sold my accounts and my business and set off to find what the meaning of my life was. How was I going to understand myself if I did not understand the world around me. I spent a year traveling across the US on a motorcycle and another year traveling around, primarily Europe, with longer stays in Portugal and the middle east.
When I did return to the US, my career diverged into Hi-tech as a Vice President of Business Development for several large Silicon Valley companies. I retired from Hi-tech and returned to my roots and what I was always meant to be. A photographer. I would view the world through a lens, capturing life, one frame at a time. There is nothing more interesting to me than people. People in their everyday lives. People exploring their surroundings, their environment, their work, their interest, and their travels.

If I have done my job, my photos should tell a story. They should evoke a possible double-take or maybe some compassion for an unknown reason that only later may come to light.

There is no other medium that can capture a single instant in time. Something that, in that moment, will never happen again. I can take a photo and manipulate the feeling presented, but a point in time captured, only happens once. A look a father gives his daughter, or the laughter that two sisters share. Laughter shared may come again but the split second captured in a photograph, at a moment in time, is unique. In an instant, love is expressed, expressed in a way that is captured forever.
What We Do
I hope you may find my photos to be worthy of display in your home or business. All of my photos can be purchased or rented. Depending on the photo, they may be blown up to cover an entire wall or framed to fit a specific space. In some cases, a consultation services is available to custom design a look and feel of a location appropriate for a specific photo or set of photos.
